See.Seek.Speak.

Last February 16, we had attended a seminar at Colegio de San Juan de Letran which was the "AD Speak". Its theme was "See. Seek. Speak.". What made us excited was that we were the only delegates invited from Pampanga and other province. Plus we met the Ad Board of the Philippines and different Mass Communication students from different schools in manila. After the session, they gave us our certificates.
"The best way to kill a product faster is to give it a good advertising". One of the speakers told us this. He got it from James Webb Young. Meaning a good advertisement can captivate the hearts of the people. It is the deadliest, effective weapon of companies and ad firms. With just an ad, products could be born and destroy. That is how powerful it is.
"Value in Values Advertising" also, was raised. I had learned from the first speaker that these are good values in advertising: it touches your emotions, it inspires, it moves people to action, it gets talked about and notice, it respects the viewer, it makes you feel good about the product or service, it creates affinity, it makes the advertiser feel good, it goes beyond selling, it is insightful, it is compelling, it makes you think and it is never preachy.
Advertising is a powerful medium. It is widely consumed by the public. It influences people on how they perceive things.
Present. Compel. Command. Advertising is seeing, seeking and speaking.

Fashion fades...

"Fashion fades, style remains". This was said by Ms. Say, our guest speaker in our third colloquium. True that fashion fades. One factor is seasonal change. What is hot in winter will never be definitely hot in summer. Of course you would not absolutely wear a cozy coat during summer. Or else you will get yourself drowned with sweat. Or even dare to wear a two piece in a cold winter season. You will be a totally, dead, frozen human.
Going through the flow of the seminar, our guest speaker gave us some tips about the "Dos" and "Don’ts" of what to wear according to season and body figure.
Here goes the "Don’ts":Do not wear colors black, red and maroon during summer. Shocking colors are one of the factors that make hot summer, hotter. You could just wear pastel colors like yellow. It adds appeal and it is pleasing in the eyes.Plumps should never wear hipsters or low waist. You would look like a gigantic whale swaying your tail. What I am talking about is your enormous hip.Plumps should not wear tight fitting and supper duper loose shirts or blouses. Tight fitting shirts will justify your fats especially your dangling tummy. Otherwise the super duper loose ones will make you look awful.
Of course the "Dos". Here are other tips: Plumps should wear vertical, stripped shirts. It will help you look a bit thinner.Skinny gals should wear horizontal stripes. It would add body illusion that will make you look sexy.Gals with big bass should wear shirts or blouses with print on its chest part. It will help you look like you have shrunk your bass.Tall people could wear skinny jeans. It will justify your legs.
There are no limitations in dressing up. You do not have to ride in all the latest trends and fashion if it will make you look bad wearing it. However do not be depressed about that. I am sure that there are loads of clothes and designs that will fit your body as well as your tastes. They say that "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" which is I am sure is for real. Beauty and fashion is always your matter of choice. What is important is that you are comfortable and you know how to carry yourself no matter what clothing you wear.Always remember that, your unique style will always shine.

Single or Married?

I’m in front of the computer, trying to think of my dream wedding. I know it is a funny thing especially at my age, plus that I am still schooling. It is now exactly 7:34 pm in my watch and I do not know how to start. I cannot concentrate. I have to do this because it has something to do with my OJT application. This is hard for me because I never had a boyfriend who will serve as my inspiration. Not even a date (poor me, huhu)!
I am not saying that I have no plans of getting married someday. Sometimes I am also dreaming of myself dressed in a white, simple, elegant wedding gown and exchanging vow with the one that I truly love. However, I am not quite sure if that is what I really want. I mean, being single or being married. Whenever I attend a wedding party or even sometimes when people talk about these matters, I often hear them say, being married is not easy – that you should be ready and some other stuff. And often I also hear them say that it is hard to live alone without husband. And that being an old maid is one of the worst things. Are you confused? I know it’s confusing. It is really difficult to know which the hardest way is.
Here’s a spill. I admit that I am afraid to love, to have sex and to bear a child. Obviously it is simply because it hurts. And I know your laughing now. But it’s true! Probably these are some of the reasons why I am undecided about that matter. And possibly some of you had heard these words many times just like me – “You cannot say that you know your partner that well enough”. You will only find out his/her attitude once you were joined together in one roof. What if my dream husband turned out to be a womanizer? What if he turned out to be a mad man like a monster in my ever worst nightmare? I do not know if I know how to handle a relationship. So now you are thinking that I’m a small chick running away from a big dirty, filthy rat?
I am not playing innocent stuff or what, but perhaps my friends and classmates were right. Maybe it’s true that I am only saying this because I do not know yet love for real.
Otherwise, being single is fun. The responsibility is not as big as getting married. You have no husband and children to take care of. You take care of yourself. You go anywhere and anytime you want and you do what you want to do. You can party all day and night! No one will remind you what to act or do – sky is the limit! But the sad truth is that, no one will take good care of you when you grow old. Or probably you will be tired of vacating from one relative to another.
One thing here is not true about being an old maid. That is being alone. No matter what the cost, God will never let go off his grip on you. He is more than anyone or anything else in this world.
So being an old maid is not bad at all…
I know time will come that you have to choose which path to take. Anyway, both paths have bushy bushes, grass and big rocks. That only means that you have no escape of obstacles. Both bear great consequences, advantages and happiness. It is a matter of knowing where your real passion resorts.
